Hi, I’m Jess.
I could describe myself in many weird and wonderful ways, a Cape Town girl, adventure seeker, chocolate lover, but for me it boils down to this…I suffer from wanderlust. For those of you who are fortunate enough to not know what this is, let me give you some insight. Wanderlust is the insanely strong desire to travel. As soon as I am finished exploring a new destination, I immediately go back to the drawing board. I suppose I should start growing up and adulting properly, but no, I am dreaming of taking a 6 month trip through South East Asia with my Hubby next in 2017/2018.
I suppose I should start at the beginning.
Someone I knew had just comeback from a trip to Thailand, and I, an international travel virgin, listened to them recount their wonderful memories. I was practically salivating at the idea of experiencing new people and places at the end of the conversation. My mind was made up, I was going to save up really hard for a holiday to Thailand. The only problem with travelling that people didn’t warn me about was that it is highly addictive. I have only been on a handful of international holidays since that wonderful first trip to Thailand, but I am proud to say I planned everything sans agents. I have decided to take my written journals and convert them into a blog for other people to enjoy.
PS. I must just apologize for my early posts, I didn’t record in such detail as I should have!
